How to treat with Freckles | Choicy Beauty- a beauty training academic

What is color spots?

Color spots refer to the increase in melanin particles in the skin on our face or body, resulting in some loss of lesion area. Spots is also one of the core cosmetic issues. There is an old saying, [White skin can cover hundreds of ugly, a black destroy all" The white and black illustrate the problem of stains. Of course, here we do not mention the dark skin. If there are some big and small spots on our faces, everyone will worry about it. In skin cosmetology, we can roughly classify the spots into three types: dermis, epidermis, and mixed-spots. So today I will introduce freckles (the [spots" of epidermis) that are common in our lives.

What is freckles?

Freckles are flat, beige, brown circular spots that typically are the size of the head of a common nail. The spots are multiple and may develop on sun-exposed skin after repeated exposure to sunlight. These are particularly common in people with red hair and a fair complexion. Most of the freckles begin to develop before the age of school (3-5 years old). The symptoms of puberty are particularly obvious, and they become insignificant after the middle and old ages.

Freckles generally occur on our faces: nose, perioral, cheeks, upper lip, upper eyelids, etc. Most freckles are hereditary (autosomal dominant inheritance). Of course, not all freckles are caused by hereditary diseases, but they are also acquired.

Most freckles are uniform in color. On different people, freckles may vary somewhat in color -- they may be reddish, yellow, tan, light brown, brown, or black -- but they are basically slightly darker than the surrounding skin. They may become darker and more apparent after sun exposure or during pregnancy and lighten in the winter months.

How Freckles Are Formed

Freckles belong to the epidermis, because they are due to an increase in the amount of dark pigment called melanin and an increase in the total number of pigment-producing cells called melanocytes. Freckled melanocytes have larger melanocytes than normal surrounding skin and have more and longer dendrites.

Freckled melanocytes also produce a large number of oval-shaped melanotic granules. Once melanocytes appear in the basal layer, the hypermelanized particles produced by their hyperactivity will gradually appear in the epidermis of our skin. From the appearance of the skin, it looks like a circular spot with clear and irregular borders.

The essence of freckles is to maintain a consistent facial tone, which can be said to be a constitutional dyschromia, which is caused by congenital genetic factors; this means that even if the freckles lesions are completely eliminated, it cannot solve its root causes. As time goes on, there is a possibility of recurrence.

How to treat with freckles?

1. IPL (530-1200nm)

According to the principle of selective photothermal effect of IPL, heat accumulation of excessively large melanocytes in the basal layer of the epidermis results in inactivation, scab, and shedding. Select a short-wavelength filter for operation, adjust the appropriate energy parameters, pulse width, etc.

The purpose of IPL treatment is that the color of the freckles will be deepened to dark red (the production of thin suede), then the crust will fall off about a week, and the freckles will fade in color. IPL can not completely eliminate freckles in one treatment. Therefore, it needs at least 2 or more treatments to make it significantly improved.

2. Q-switched ruby laser (694nm)

Compared to IPL's full-face improvement of multiple treatments, Q-switched ruby laser treatment can make freckles fade away in one treatment.

The 694nm wavelength can selectively blast off the melanocytes in the epidermis and metabolize the melanin-broken particles that remain in the body through the phagocytosis of macrophages in vivo; the aim of the laser treatment is that the freckles appear immediately gray. (White frost reaction)

3. Alexandrite laser(755nm)

Pico Second, can break the melanin granules in our epidermis by the principle of mechanical blasting, and then eliminate the body through metabolism. The purpose of the treatment is that the skin appears pale (white frost reaction) immediately.

4. Frequency-doubled Q switched Nd: YAG Laser (532nm)

This laser is the most suitable equipment for freckles. First of all, the cost of the Nd:YAG laser is much cheaper than that of Alexandrite and ruby, secondly, the total treatment time of this laser is shorter than other lasers. The device has won the favor of many medical practitioners; its therapeutic purpose is to change the dark gray (white frost reaction) of skin lesions, but pay attention to try not to have cyanosis during operation.

5. CO2 Fractional Laser (10600nm)

The freckles are epidermis, its melanin pigments are present in the epidermis, so we can use the photothermolysis effect of the CO2 fractional laser to exfoliate the diseased tissue, which can make the freckles peel off with the epidermis and scab, then eliminate.

After treatment

1. Take Tranexamic Acid Orally

The plasmin has an activating effect on the proliferation of pigment cells and the formation of melanin, and tranexamic acid may inhibit the action of plasmin and cause the formation of melanin, so it can be used in conjunction with the repair after laser treatment to reduce pigmentation

2. Collagen Mask

Human skin contains a lot of collagen, type I collagen repair products (raw collagen), type III collagen repair products (Bernach), collagen in skin tissue can maintain the integrity and stability of the skin, promote skin's Metabolism, as well as unique repair functions, help repair tissue.

3. EGF epidermal growth factor

EGF receptors bind to stimulated epidermal cells to undergo a cell division cycle and initiate activation, expression, and secretion of biologically active proteins by some important functional genes in the cell. Promote the linear arrangement of collagen fibers, epidermal cells grow quickly and regularly and cover the wound in time. It can accelerate the healing of wounds such as skin wounds, and keep the wounds flat and smooth, reducing or eliminating scars and reducing pigmentation.

4. Avoid sun exposure

Select SPF30, PA++ sun protection products and physical sunscreen, etc., because the skin spots such as freckles will increase its response after sun exposure, not to mention the skin barrier function is damaged after the completion of treatment, must be strict sun protection until dislocation.Welcome to contact us to know more information aboout the Professional Aesthetic Equipment.
