The Heart of Beauty Salons: IPL | Choicy Beauty- a beauty training academy

The most common and most practical and basic core device in photofacials is IPL, the scientific name is Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), also known as photon, intense light, colored light, E-light and now generally known as OPT (SHR Rapid Hair Removal).

IPL is not a laser, it is broad spectrum light, it is often called FLASH abroad: flash like light, the basis of the theory is selective photothermal effect.

What treatment can IPL do?

IPL is a high-intensity, broad-spectrum, continuous light source that emits light in the wavelength range of 400nm - 1200nm, covering multiple absorption peaks of target chromophores such as melanin, oxyhemoglobin, and water.

Melanin causes hyperpigmentation and oxidized hemoglobin causes vascular problems.

In addition to the fact that IPL can't lose weight in this wavelength range, all the skin problems you want to do can be made more or less effective

IPL can treat a wide range of skin problems, including redness, pigmentation, skin rejuvenation, acne, oil control, hair removal, wrinkles, and pimple reduction.

IPL is so amazingly effective, why?

This is all determined by the spectrum of IPL.

IPL is a broad spectrum of intense pulsed light, which covers the entire range from violet to near infrared light (400nm - 1200nm), so that using different filters can intercept the relevant wavelength range of light, different wavelengths of light acting on the human skin, and absorbed by different skin target tissues, so as to achieve the above-mentioned different treatment effects and objectives.

IPL is a long pulsed light, with a pulse duration of milliseconds, and is dominated by the selective thermal effect of light. Therefore, when solving skin problems, it is not only necessary to grasp the wavelength characteristics, but also to utilize the multiple sub-pulse settings of IPL in order to have both effective and safe treatment.
